Shipping and Delivery

Shipping Methods

All SmartKits SKs orders are handled by professional express couriers such as SDA, DHL, or other trusted partners, depending on the destination and nature of the goods.

Order Processing and Delivery Times

  • Order Handling: Orders are processed within 24/48 working hours (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays), provided items are in stock.

  • In case of unavailability, handling times depend on supplier lead times.
  • Delivery Time: Shipments are made within Italy only and typically take 3–4 business days.
  • Tracking: Customers can monitor their order status by logging into their personal account on the website.

Shipping Costs

  • Shipping fees are automatically calculated based on the total weight and volume of the products.
  • The minimum shipping cost is €9.70.
  • Shipping costs are borne by the customer.

Additional Information

  • Deliveries are made Monday through Friday during working hours.
  • It is not possible to schedule an exact delivery time or receive prior phone calls.
  • If the recipient is absent, a notice will be left with instructions to reschedule delivery.

Receipt of Goods

Upon delivery, the customer must:

  • Check that the number of packages matches the transport document.
  • Verify that the packaging is intact and shows no signs of tampering.

If any issue is found, sign the receipt with reservation for inspection, specifying the reason (e.g., "damaged packaging" or "open parcel"). Damages must be reported within 5 working days of receipt.

Signing without reservation implies acceptance of the goods and voids any future claims for visible damage.


Insurance and Liability

  • In accordance with Italian Legislative Decree 114/1998, goods travel at the customer's risk starting from order confirmation.

  • Optional insurance is available upon request, covering theft, loss, or damage (up to 90% of the insured value).

  • SmartKits SKs is not liable for delivery delays due to force majeure, traffic conditions, weather, or other unforeseen events.


Failed Delivery and Storage

If the package is not collected within 3 business days from the courier's warehouse, the order will be automatically returned to SmartKits SKs.

In this case:

  • The customer may request a new shipment, subject to payment of round-trip shipping costs based on the package's weight and volume.
  • If the customer waives redelivery, only the value of the goods will be refunded, excluding any shipping costs already incurred.
